This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. It is provided in compliance with the State Bank of Pakistan’s consumer protection requirements and the National E-Commerce Consumer Protection Framework.
A. Registration Fee (PKR 5,000)
Refundable only if no paid features have been accessed and the request is made within 7 days of payment. Once any paid service has been used, the registration fee is non-refundable.
B. Subscription Plans
Refundable pro-rata for the unused portion if cancelled within 14 days of the current billing period commencing. After 14 days, no refund is available for the current period, but the subscription will not renew.
C. Digital Services (Document Generation, AI Research)
Where a digital service has been delivered (a document has been generated and made available, or research has been delivered), the service is considered rendered. No refund is available for delivered digital services, except where required by law.
D. Transaction Charges and Handling Fees
Charges levied by JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or your bank on the original payment are non-refundable by Pak Legal Desk. These are pass-through costs consumed by the payment processor. Where a handling fee was charged, it is also non-refundable once the handling has been performed.
E. Failed Payments Where Funds Were Deducted
If a payment has been deducted from your account but the order was not completed, contact [email protected] with your transaction ID. We will verify the transaction with the payment provider and refund the platform fee portion within 7 working days of verification. The bank or gateway charge on the original transaction is not refundable.
F. Duplicate Payments
Verified duplicate payments will be refunded in full through the original payment route within 7 working days. Transaction charges on the duplicate are not refundable.
G. Government and Third-Party Fees
Fees paid to government bodies, courts, or independent advocates are outside our control and are not refundable by Pak Legal Desk.
H. Refund Method
Approved refunds are returned through the original payment route where technically possible. Where the original route is unavailable, we will credit your Pak Legal Desk wallet. We do not issue cash refunds.
I. Refund Processing Time
- Wallet credits: Applied immediately upon approval.
- Original payment route (card, wallet, bank transfer): Processed within 14 working days of approval, subject to the payment provider’s or bank’s processing times.
- Failed payments where funds were deducted: 7 working days from verification.
These timelines are provided in accordance with the State Bank of Pakistan’s Electronic Fund Transfers Regulations and the National E-Commerce Consumer Protection Framework.
J. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you believe a payment was made without your authorisation, contact your payment provider and notify us at [email protected]. We will cooperate with a legitimate dispute process. We may request additional information to verify the transaction before processing a refund.
K. Cancellation
Subscriptions: Cancel at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
One-time Services: Where a service has not yet commenced, you may cancel for a full refund of the platform fee within 7 days. Once the service has commenced, cancellation is not available and government or third-party fees already incurred are non-refundable.
L. Complaints and Escalation
If you are not satisfied with our response to a refund request:
- Email [email protected]. We will respond within 14 working days.
- You retain the right to contact the State Bank of Pakistan’s Banking Mohtasib, the relevant provincial consumer court, or the National Digital Grievance Redress System (once operational).
M. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your statutory rights under the Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014, the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005, or equivalent provincial legislation. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the State Bank of Pakistan’s Electronic Fund Transfers Regulations 2018.
O. Withholding Tax
Any withholding tax deducted at source by a payment intermediary or bank under Section 6A or Section 153 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 is non-refundable by Pak Legal Desk. Where a refund is processed, the withholding tax portion already deducted is not returned, as it has been remitted to the tax authority.
