Legal Disclaimer
Last updated: 11 September 2026
1. Purpose of This Disclaimer
This Legal Disclaimer governs your use of paklegaldesk.com and all related services, tools, AI features, document generators, legal research functions, and marketplace features (collectively, the “Platform”) operated by Pak Legal Desk.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Disclaimer. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
This Disclaimer operates alongside our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and all other incorporated policies.
2. Pak Legal Desk Is a Technology Platform, Not a Law Firm
2.1 Pak Legal Desk is a legal-technology company. We provide technology-assisted tools, an AI Legal Assistant, document generation software, legal research functions, and a marketplace that connects users with independent legal professionals.
2.2 Pak Legal Desk is not a law firm. We do not practise law. We do not provide legal representation. We do not appear before any court, tribunal, or authority on behalf of any user.
2.3 No employee, officer, director, or agent of Pak Legal Desk acts as your lawyer by virtue of your use of the Platform.
2.4 The Platform does not create a lawyer-client relationship between you and Pak Legal Desk. A lawyer-client relationship is created only when you directly engage an independent lawyer through the marketplace, and even then, that relationship is between you and that lawyer alone.
2.5 Pak Legal Desk does not supervise, direct, control, or take responsibility for the professional legal work of any independent lawyer on the Platform. Independent lawyers exercise their own professional judgment and are solely responsible for the legal services they provide.
3. AI Output Is Technology-Assisted Information, Not Legal Advice
3.1 The AI Legal Assistant, legal research tools, document generators, contract generators, and document intelligence features produce output generated by artificial intelligence models and automated processes.
3.2 AI output is technology-assisted information. It is not legal advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer.
3.3 AI output may be:
-
Incomplete
-
Outdated
-
Inaccurate
-
Based on incorrect assumptions
-
Not applicable to your specific jurisdiction, facts, or circumstances
3.4 You must independently verify all AI-generated information before relying on it. This includes verifying:
-
The current state of the law
-
The applicability of any statute, rule, or case to your facts
-
Procedural requirements and deadlines
-
The accuracy of any document or contract generated
3.5 You must not file, execute, serve, or act upon any AI-generated document without first having it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.
3.6 Use of the AI system alone does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Pak Legal Desk or between you and any other person.
4. No Guarantee of Legal Results
4.1 Pak Legal Desk does not guarantee any legal result, outcome, or benefit from your use of the Platform.
4.2 We do not guarantee that:
-
Any legal information provided is accurate, complete, or current
-
Any AI-generated document will be accepted by a court, authority, or counterparty
-
Any lawyer engaged through the marketplace will achieve a particular result
-
Any legal proceeding will succeed
4.3 The Pakistan Bar Council’s disciplinary committee has emphasised that lawyers must not promise “guaranteed results” or conduct cases on a “done basis” in exchange for legal fees. Pak Legal Desk does not make, and does not authorise any person to make on its behalf, any promise of guaranteed results.
5. Independent Legal Professionals
5.1 Lawyers available through the marketplace are independent legal professionals. They are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Pak Legal Desk.
5.2 Pak Legal Desk provides marketplace technology only. We:
-
Do not supervise lawyers’ professional conduct
-
Do not guarantee the quality of their work
-
Do not guarantee their availability
-
Do not guarantee that their credentials remain current
5.3 Any lawyer-client relationship formed through the marketplace is directly between you and the lawyer. Pak Legal Desk is not a party to that relationship.
5.4 If you have a complaint about a lawyer’s professional conduct, you may:
-
Raise it through our Complaints, Disputes & Grievance Policy
-
Report it to the relevant provincial Bar Council
-
Report it to the Pakistan Bar Council where applicable
6. Laws Change and Answers Depend on Many Factors
6.1 Laws, regulations, and judicial interpretations change frequently. Information on the Platform may not reflect the most recent developments.
6.2 Legal answers depend on many factors, including:
-
Your jurisdiction and sub-jurisdiction
-
The specific facts and evidence
-
Procedural history
-
The applicable court or tribunal
-
Statutory and court deadlines
-
The current state of the law at the time of the matter
6.3 You are responsible for verifying important legal information against current official sources or with a qualified lawyer.
6.4 Court deadlines and statutory deadlines must not be ignored. Missing a deadline can permanently affect your rights. Do not rely on AI output or general information to calculate or track deadlines.
7. Jurisdiction Awareness
7.1 The Platform allows you to select a jurisdiction. Your selection is used to route queries to the appropriate AI agent and to apply jurisdiction-specific context.
7.2 Your jurisdiction selection is a routing and compliance context. It does not mean that the Platform will provide jurisdiction-specific legal advice. It does not guarantee that any AI output is correct for that jurisdiction.
7.3 If your matter touches more than one jurisdiction, you should seek advice from a qualified lawyer in each relevant jurisdiction.
8. No Solicitation or Advertising of Legal Services
8.1 Pak Legal Desk does not solicit professional legal employment on behalf of any lawyer.
8.2 The Platform provides a directory and marketplace where clients may find and engage independent lawyers. This is a technology service, not an advertisement for any lawyer’s services.
8.3 The Canons of Professional Conduct and Etiquette for Advocates in Pakistan prohibit advocates from soliciting professional employment by advertisement or any other means. Pak Legal Desk’s marketplace features are designed to comply with these canons:
-
No lawyer profile constitutes a solicitation
-
No lawyer profile promises results, guarantees outcomes, or makes sensationalist claims
-
No lawyer may use the Platform to advertise in a manner prohibited by the Pakistan Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Rules, 1976
8.4 If any lawyer uses the Platform in a way that breaches the Canons, that is the lawyer’s responsibility, not Pak Legal Desk’s.
9. No Unlawful Exclusion of Liability
9.1 Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including:
-
Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence
-
Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
-
Liability under any applicable consumer protection law
-
Liability under the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 or the Pakistan Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Rules, 1976 where those apply
9.2 Where any part of this Disclaimer is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.
10. Your Responsibility
10.1 You remain responsible for:
-
Verifying all legal information before relying on it
-
Seeking qualified legal advice where appropriate
-
Meeting all court and statutory deadlines
-
Reviewing all AI-generated documents before executing or filing them
-
Ensuring your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws
10.2 Do not use the Platform for urgent matters, imminent deadlines, or situations where a wrong answer could cause harm. Consult a qualified lawyer.
11. Regulatory Framework
11.1 The legal profession in Pakistan is regulated by the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 and the Pakistan Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Rules, 1976.
11.2 The Canons of Professional Conduct and Etiquette of Advocates are set out in Chapter XII of the 1976 Rules (Rules 134–175-B). These Canons include:
-
Rule 134 — Duty to uphold the dignity and high standing of the legal profession
-
Rule 135 — Prohibition on soliciting professional employment by advertisement or any other means
-
Rule 136 — Prohibition on sharing professional fees with unlicensed persons
-
Rules 137–144 — Rules concerning conduct toward other advocates
-
Rules 145–158 — Rules concerning conduct toward clients
-
Rules 159–167 — Duty to the Court
-
Rules 168–175-B — Conduct toward the public generally, including the gateway misconduct provisions
11.3 Pak Legal Desk respects this regulatory framework. The Platform is designed to operate as a technology service and not as a legal practice.
11.4 The Pakistan Bar Council and provincial Bar Councils have disciplinary jurisdiction over advocates. They do not regulate technology platforms. Any complaint about a lawyer’s professional conduct should be directed to the relevant Bar Council.
12. No Data Protection Officer Representation
12.1 Pak Legal Desk does not represent that it has appointed a Data Protection Officer unless such an appointment has actually been made and is identified on the Platform.
12.2 Where a data protection contact is required, it is identified in our Privacy Policy.
13. Amendments
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Platform after an amendment takes effect constitutes acceptance.
